Zhou Bohua delivered a keynote speech at the second international BRICs competition conference held in Beijing on 21 July, saying that in 1993, China implemented the "Anti Unfair Competition Law". This is China's first basic law to maintain market competition order, and prohibits monopolistic operators from restricting competition, administrative monopoly, selling at below cost, tying up and tendering and bidding. Since then, China has promulgated a series of laws and regulations, such as the price law, the tendering and bidding law, the government procurement law, the regulations on regional blockade prohibiting market economic activities, and so on, and regulated the restrictive competition behaviors in economic life from different angles.


In August 2007, China promulgated the "anti-monopoly law", drawing on the successful experience of foreign competition legislation, which is an important symbol of China's competitive legal system. This law deals with monopoly agreements and abuses the market. Dominance Behavior and concentration of business operators have been regulated, and prohibition of abuse of administrative power to exclude and restrict competition has been prohibited. The implementation of China's Antimonopoly Law has played a very important role in preventing and stopping monopolistic behavior, maintaining fair market competition, enhancing economic vitality and competitiveness, protecting consumers' interests and social public interests, and promoting the healthy development of China's socialist market economy.


Zhou Bohua said that China's anti-monopoly law enforcement has just started and has a long way to go.
