Romania Textile Workers Are Facing Unemployment.

Romania media reported that Maria Cola Pigni, chairman of the Federation of Luo textile and tannery enterprises, told the media that financial difficulties affected textile enterprises' loans, foreign orders decreased and exports declined.

In 2007, the output value of processing materials accounted for 58%-60% of the total output value of textile industry. The output value of raw materials processing decreased by 10%-20% compared to the same period last year.

In the next 4 years, the financial crisis will have a serious impact on the textile industry. In 2009, more than 40 thousand textile workers, 15%-20% of the entire textile industry, will face unemployment.

By the end of 2007, 342 thousand of Luo textile industry workers.

By the end of July this year, there will be 312 thousand more people.
