Wang Wei, executive vice chairman of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, signed the donation memorandum on behalf of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and the representatives of the recipient units.

Liu Jingmin, vice chairman of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and vice mayor of Beijing, delivered a speech at the donation ceremony held on the twenty-seven day. After the Olympic Games ended, all circles of society expressed the strong desire to collect and display the Olympic cultural heritage to the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee. On the eve of the completion of the mission, the Olympic Organizing Committee donated Olympic props to provinces, municipalities directly under the central government and relevant units.
