In 2012India'S Textile Industry Will Attract Investment Of 15000 Billion Rupees.

In 2012, India's total investment in the textile sector is expected to reach 15060 billion rupees, with a total number of employees reaching 17 million 370 thousand people (including 12 million 20 thousand direct employees and 5 million 350 thousand indirect employees), India general Mohan Singer said at a textile summit.


The government of India expects to invest 169 billion 530 million rupees in the textile park plan, including 30 approved textile parks.

These textile parks will create employment opportunities for 575 thousand people.


Premier Singer said that the Ministry of textiles is also playing a catalytic role in increasing investment and introducing modern technology and providing market support to textile units.
