Technical Requirements For Eco Textiles

GB/T 18885-2009 "eco textile technical requirements" has been approved by the State Administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine and the National Standardization Management Committee, and has been implemented since January 1, 2010.

The standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, sampling and determination rules of eco textiles.

At the same time, the standard applies to all kinds of textiles and their accessories.

This standard replaces GB/T 18885-2002 "eco textile technical requirements", and the main difference between GB/T 18885-2002 is:

1. The standard English name is changed to "Technical specifications of ecological textiles".

2. In the normative citation document, 9 standard methods such as GB/T 20382 "determination of textile carcinogenic dyes" and so on were added. The Oeko-Tex200 test procedure and SN 0704 "chromometry (six valence) detection method for export leather gloves" were eliminated.

3, the age of infants and young children is changed from 24 months to 36 months.

4, the limit value of heavy metal antimony in the ornamental material in Table 1 was cancelled, and the annotation of "prohibiting the use of lead and lead alloy" was added to the heavy metal lead.

5. Four chlorophenol, pentachlorophenol and orthophenyl phenol in Table 1 are collectively referred to as phenol compounds. The limit of four chlorophenol is changed to 3 isomers, and the limit value of orthophenyl phenol is adjusted.

6. Change the name of chlorine carrier in Table 1 to chlorobenzene and toluene chloride.

7. Change the name of PVC plasticizer in Table 1 to ortho phenyl two formic acid, and increase the limit value of the total amount of two (2- ethyl) hexyl phthalate, n-benzoic acid two butylbenzyl ester and dibutyl phthalate in direct contact with skin products.

8, table 1, direct contact with skin products, direct contact with skin products and decorative materials in organotin compounds increased the limit value of two butyltin (DBP), and all four products increased three limit of tin (TPhT) in this season.

9. The limit value of sensitizing dyes in Table 1 is changed to 50mg/kg.

10. In Table 1, the general odor detection items were cancelled, and two new contents of other dyes and banned fibers were added.

11. Appendix A adds an aromatic amine 4- azobenzene (see table A.2), two carcinogenic dyes, basic violet 14 and disperse orange 11 (see table A.3) and a sensitized dye Disperse Brown 1 (see table A.4), and add two other harmful dyes (see table A.5).

12. Appendix B added six insecticides.

13. Appendix E added two kinds of banned flame retardants.

14. Add appendix F "chlorophenol" and annex the original appendix F to appendix G.

The main contents of the standard include: normative reference documents, terms and definitions (Ecological Textiles), product classification (infant products, direct contact with skin products, non direct contact with skin products, decorative materials), requirements, test methods, sampling, determination rules, appendix A of its appendix A harmful fuels, appendix B insecticides, appendix C two phthalate esters, appendix D chlorobenzene and chlorinated toluene, appendix E prohibited flame retardants, appendix F chlorophenol, appendix G abnormal odor determination, olfactory discrimination method is a normative appendix.
