Since July 1st this year, China has imposed zero tariffs on 4721 commodities imported from Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, many products can also enter the European, Japanese and other markets without tariffs.

Among them, a $240 million thermal power plant project will be launched in Bangladesh, a total of hydropower projects with a total investment of US $100 million, and a number of highway and bridge projects. In Brunei, a large housing project will be promoted, and distance education in Sri Lanka will be promoted.

Once the project is signed, it will drive Sichuan enterprises to invest in South Asia, labor services and import and export trade.

According to the data provided by the Provincial Department of Commerce, under the impetus of large enterprises such as the provincial machinery and equipment import and Export Corporation and Dongfang Electric Co., Ltd., Sichuan enterprises have contracted 26 projects in South Asia, with a contractual amount of US $5 billion 680 million.

Sichuan enterprises have accumulated rich experience in overseas project contracting in South Asia.

The rapid development of South Asia has created enormous demand.

In Bangladesh, for example, the country is focusing on bidding for power plants, bridges, railways and other projects.

To solve the problem of power shortage, Bangladesh plans to increase its national generating capacity to 7 million kilowatts by 2013. In the next few years, it will need more than 300 kilowatts of installed capacity, including 4 large scale coal-fired power plants with 50-130 kilowatts.

This will create a rare opportunity for China's coal-fired generating units to undertake overseas projects.

Bangladesh's superior commodities include garments, leather, jute and seafood. At present, export to China can enjoy zero tariff treatment.

The fabric, yarn, accessories, dyestuffs and mechanical equipment used in Bangladesh are mostly imported from our country. Our textile and garment enterprises and related enterprises can set up factories in Bangladesh, pfer garment manufacturing and related industries, or vigorously develop the export business of upstream products and supporting products.
