National Costume Museum of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology

The "Xinjiang traditional printing study activities" sponsored by the host and the watchers' Association is launched in the Museum of Chinese traditional costume technology.

Traditional printing activities in Xinjiang

"Concerned about the traditional printing process of the Uygur nationality in Xinjiang, mainly using a wooden pattern with various patterns, like a seal, to dip the dye solution and print various patterns on the fabric to form printed cloth.

During the event, Liu Qi, deputy curator of the museum, presented the Xinjiang printed cloth boutique pictures for the members and introduced the technology.

The tool used in the activity is a wooden seal specially copied by the museum and used by participants.

Students use traditional tools to try on modern T-shirts, giving this traditional process a new look.

  


In the process of activities, students feel the charm of traditional crafts, and broaden their thinking for their future design learning.
