Ethiopia Will Hold A Leather Fair In Africa

In October 11th, Ethiopian Trade Ministry announced that the African Leather Fair will be held in the Millennium Hall of Addisababa on January 2008 24-26.

Tesse Haier, Minister of state of the Ministry of trade and industry of Ethiopia, said that the Ethiopian government, Ethiopian MIDROC company and Ethiopia Leather Industry Association will jointly hold the fair.

The trade fair aims to encourage and improve leather export opportunities and promote the access of Africa and Ethiopia to the international trade market.

The plan is held once a year.

At that time, investment forum and Pan African competition forum will also be held in Addisababa.

Tadese added that the Ethiopian leather industry is thriving and has increased by 20% every year in the past four years.

The Millennium Leather Fair will be organized by local companies with companies such as Italy, Germany, the United States and other countries, the world bank and the UNIDO.

It is estimated that there will be more than 300 exhibitors at home and abroad and more than 3000 guests attending the fair.
