Less than p ago, the Symposium on carbon fiber branch of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association and Symposium on the development of carbon fiber and its composite materials industry in 2014 were held in Changzhou, Jiangsu. The carbon fiber branch of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association aims at guiding, linking, exchanging, coordinating and promoting the development and application of China's carbon fiber industry. Its establishment will further promote the development of carbon fiber and related industries in China.

The State Council clearly stated in the 12th Five-Year national strategic emerging industries development plan: promoting the industrialization of high performance high modulus carbon fibers and other high-performance fibers and their composites. In October 2013, the Ministry of industry and Commerce issued the "action plan for accelerating the development of the carbon fiber industry", and decided to organize four major actions to promote sustained and healthy development of the carbon fiber industry. In order to seize this development opportunity and to meet the requirements of the majority of carbon fiber and related member units and national ministries and commissions, based on the summary of previous work experience and achievements, the China Chemical Fiber Association decided to set up a carbon fiber branch to better serve the carbon fiber industry and make a positive contribution to the development of China's carbon fiber industry. 
Xiaoping P said that carbon fiber is an indispensable strategic new material for national economy and national defense construction. Its application area is broad, its technology content is high, its radiation is wide and its power is strong. According to the relevant prediction, by 2030, China's carbon fiber demand will reach 300 thousand ~50 million tons. To achieve the breakthrough of usage, it also depends on achieving breakthroughs in cost and application. 
 Xiaoping said: "at present, the pressure of China's carbon fiber enterprises is increasing, and the application of the carbon fiber industry is becoming more urgent. The bottleneck of the development of the carbon fiber industry needs to be breakthroughs. The carbon fiber sub committee will build a platform to strengthen the links and cooperation between the carbon fiber production enterprises and the upstream and downstream enterprises and research institutes, so as to promote the orderly, efficient and healthy development of the industry. At the same time, compared with foreign countries, China's carbon fiber is still in its infancy, and its development is inseparable from the support of the government. The carbon fiber sub committee will give full play to the bridge and link between the government and the carbon fiber production and application enterprises, guide enterprises to implement the guiding principles and policies of the government on the construction and development of the carbon fiber industry, reflect the opinions and requirements of the enterprises to the relevant government departments, and explore solutions, communication measures and methods, and strive for government support. 
Zhang Guoliang P, who was elected chairman of the CFRC branch, said that the current technology is not the most important issue for China's carbon fiber industry, and the most important thing is to pass the market pass. In addition to improving technology, the development of enterprises is very important. Zhongfu Eagle carbon fiber company produces dry carbon fiber by dry spray wet spinning process. Its daily output has reached 6 tons. At present, the company has done a lot of research in application, and further improved the adaptability of the process. We hope that there will be more exchanges between the carbon fiber colleagues, and the carbon fiber branch will be better able to promote the progress of the industry.
