By the year 2018, China's textile industry accounted for more than half of the total fiber processing, accounted for 36% of the world's exports, and the ability of the whole society to absorb more than 20 million of the total. It is the industry with the greatest potential to take the lead in becoming a powerful country.

What is the status of China's textile industry in the world? What standard should we use to judge whether our country is a large textile country or a textile power? At present, the western developed countries have certain advantages in several aspects. In terms of original technology, they are still leading. In terms of fashion discourse, France and Italy are the countries that have the absolute right to speak in the fashion industry. Paris fashion week, Milan fashion week, New York fashion week and London Fashion Week are four important fashion vane and important fashion sources in the world. From the point of view of environmental protection, western countries have also experienced the environmental pollution process of industrial development, but their awareness of environmental protection is increasing, which is both a reference and a pressure for China.

China has a long way to go in this respect; moreover, in the supply side and demand side system of the supply side structural reform, there is still a gap in capability between China's own manufacturing capacity and consumption demand matching.

Speaking of the current talent problem in China's textile industry, Sun Ruizhe said that at present, China's textile industry has more than 20 million industrial personnel. If the proportion of high-tech talents is in proportion, there is a certain gap with some new high-tech industries, including the system of colleges and universities. Among the colleges and universities in the country, there are more than 200 of the undergraduate education of textile and clothing majors, but the only one who really has textile names is Wuhan Textile University. At the height of its prosperity, 17 colleges and universities have two words in the name of "textile".

How to attract more talents into the clothing industry? Sun Ruizhe thinks there are several things to do next. One is to gather popularity and let more people realize that the textile and garment industry is a science and technology industry and a fashion industry. It is a promising and vigorous industry. The two is to establish an interdisciplinary new educational system. Now textile education should not continue to adopt the traditional education mode, but should set up an interdisciplinary education mode. Many textbooks still follow three or forty years ago, and the methods of production described by them are very different now.

From the social level, all aspects should provide convenience for the brand building of textile and clothing. At present, whether we are at the corporate level or social level, we are constantly improving and improving. The two aspects are mutually reinforcing the brand building. "
