Jiangsu Polytechnic Adds Another "Zhangjian" Cultural Base

Recently, Jiangsu Polytechnic of engineering has set up a "Zhang Jianju" Library in the graphic information center of Haimen campus to collect research books, periodicals and other audio-visual materials of Zhang Jian, the founder of the University. He pointed out that more than 100 years ago, Zhang Jian devoted his whole life to running industry and education for the sake of national progress and people's happiness. His patriotism was highly recognized by the party and the state. Nowadays, the prosperity and progress of Jiangsu Institute of technology is just the practice of Zhang Jian's educational original intention. As an alumni, seeing the development of his alma mater, he felt heartfelt happy to see the development of his alma mater. As a descendant of Zhang Jian, he hoped that Jiangsu Institute of technology would inherit the spirit of Zhang Jian, cultivate a large number of high-quality skilled talents for local economic construction, and continue to contribute to national construction.

It is reported that the school running history of Jiangsu Polytechnic College can be traced back to the first textile specialized school in China founded by Zhang Jian, a famous patriotic industrialist and educator in 1912. It has a history of one hundred years and has a profound cultural heritage.
