Peru Makes Final Anti-Dumping Ruling On China'S Polyester Cotton Blended Fabric
On November 19, 2021, the Commission on dumping, subsidies and non-tariff trade barriers of Peru's national competition and Intellectual Property Protection Bureau issued Notice No. 273-2021 / cdb-indexcopi in the official daily El Peruano, making the final anti-dumping determination on the polyester cotton blended fabric originated in China, and decided to impose an anti-dumping duty of US $2.08/kg on the products involved. The products involved in the case are plain weave fabrics (natural color, bleached and dyed) made of polyester cotton staple fiber (polyester accounts for more than 50%), width not more than 1.80 m, unit weight between 80 g / m2 and 130 g / m2, involving products under Peru tax codes 5512.11.00.00, 5512.19.00.00, 5513.11.00.00 and 5513.21.00.00. The announcement shall take effect from the next day of its promulgation and shall be valid for five years.
On October 14, 2020, Peru issued announcement No. 121-2020 / cdb-index in the official daily Peruvian daily, initiating an anti-dumping investigation on polyester cotton blended fabrics originating in China. On May 21, 2021, Peru issued announcement No. 170-2021 / cdb-indexcopi, which made a preliminary anti-dumping determination on the products involved in the case originating in China, and imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty of US $2.08/kg on the products involved. The provisional anti-dumping duty will take effect from the day after the announcement is issued, and the period of validity is four months.
