The 740000 mu of cotton in Manas County has also entered the mature period in recent years. The local government also improved the cotton picker, and the cotton picking rate increased from 80% to more than 95%.

 

It is reported that this year, mechanized cotton harvesting in Xinjiang will be gradually carried out from north to south. In order to do a good job in cotton harvesting this year, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Autonomous Region and the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Corps jointly formulated plans for cross regional operations of cotton pickers in Xinjiang, established a coordination group for emergency service assurance, strengthened the scheduling of cotton pickers and the supply of production and maintenance parts and services, and ensured that the harvesting machines and tools were in good condition and cotton was harvested in due time.

 

In order to ensure the accurate docking of machine harvesting services and smooth cross regional flow of agricultural machinery, agricultural and rural departments, together with departments and units such as transportation, public security, meteorology, petroleum and petrochemical, set up special trans regional operation shifts for agricultural machinery, coordinate the consultation of machine harvesting situation, the docking of operation supply and demand, open up the blocking points of agricultural machinery transfer operations, and ensure the supply of spare parts and preferential oil supply.

 

"The progress of cotton harvesting in Xinjiang this year will be basically the same as that of last year."
