Assistant Minister Yu Jianhua said at a seminar in Chengdu 18, the traditional trade statistics method led to the deviation of "Statistics in China, benefiting from other countries".

According to the traditional trade statistics method, China has a huge trade surplus at present, but this does not really reflect the current situation of international trade, but has been deliberately made by some politicians in some countries to become China's reform.

Trade

Policy and

exchange rate

An excuse for policy.

In a seminar entitled "global value chain and its impact on manufacturing and trade" under the background of globalization, Yu Jianhua said that according to the latest research report of WTO and Japan's Asian Economic Research Institute, according to traditional trade statistics, the Sino US trade surplus in 2008 was US $285 billion, but if we calculate trade according to added value, China's trade surplus with the United States will be only US $164 billion.

Yu Jianhua also said that the trade volume of the final product was simply attributed to the final assembly place, resulting in overestimation of the trade of the assembly countries, and the contribution of other countries to production was ignored.

According to China Customs statistics, China's exports amounted to 15779 billion US dollars in 2010, of which processing trade exports amounted to US $740 billion 300 million, the proportion of processing trade remained at around 50%, and foreign enterprises' exports accounted for 55% of that year's exports.

Although these values are not all produced and appreciated in China, they are statistically regarded as China's trade volume, leading to the deviation of "Statistics in China, benefiting from other countries".

Yu Jianhua appealed to international trade statistics to make appropriate adjustments to adapt to the decentralization of global production and the rise of task trade.

This change will help to scientifically and objectively evaluate trade imbalance, help to fully understand the impact of trade on employment, avoid the impact of unreal statistics on international trade relations, reduce trade protectionism and improve the global trading environment.
